So, I'm on this crazy new budgeting/pinch a penny til it bleeds thing (credit to my dad, whom I love dearly btw) and I've decided that my world should be a DIY paradise...not sure exactly where this is gonna go...so far I've decided to do as my mom used to do (way back in once upon a time land) and make home made bread all winter instead of buying it...and also meal planning...like a weekly menu or something...I'm open to suggestions :D

The Rain Growled At Me!

The weather in Idaho Falls this summer has been awesome! I love the rain! There have been a lot of really neat thunder and lightning storms, but last night takes the cake! Khy woke up around 3am, as usual, because she was hungry. It was raining outside, and just as I leaned over to pick her up there was thunder that literally made my floor vibrate. It was great! So me and Khy laid in bed for the next two and half hours listening to the thunder and watching the lightning.  About thirty minutes into our laying and watching, I told Jason that I was surprised Khaily was not in our bed yet...she haaaaaates loud noises. He said she was probably fine because she sleeps through everything.  She got up around 9 this morning, came out to the living room and said, "Mommy, the rain growled at me!" I asked if it was during the night time and she said, "Yeah it was! So I shut my ears!." And showed me how she plugged her ears.  Not to toot my own horn, but my kids are stinkin cuuuuuute!
